Fighting For Employees’ Rights
My law practice is devoted to representing regular people who have suffered discrimination, harassment or retaliation in the workplace. I represent government workers as well as private sector employees in the Hartford area and surrounding counties of Connecticut.
I bring a strong sense of justice to your case, backed by 30-plus years of litigating cases before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Put my experience and passion to work for you. You can count on me to vigorously assert your rights and guide you through every step of the legal process.

Everyone Deserves Dignity And Fairness
For over 20 years, I worked the sidelines as a high school and college football official. As a ref, my job was to enforce the rules to create a level playing field and safe environment for everyone. As an employment law and civil rights attorney, my job is the same – to uphold the rights of workers to have a workplace that is safe, fair and dignified.
My employment law practice is devoted to holding employers accountable for illegal conduct, including discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation. I help my clients confront the mistreatment and demand their rightful legal remedies. You have specific employment rights and civil rights under state and federal law. There is no shame in standing up to workplace abuse or asking for help.
I also handle litigation and appeals in other areas of law, including police misconduct and civil rights violations, business litigation and other civil litigation.
An Experienced Litigator On Your Side
Prior to law school, I served in the U.S. Army, including active duty deployment overseas with the 3rd Armored Division as a field artillery and nuclear security officer. I earned my law degree in 1987 from the University of Bridgeport School of Law (which later became Quinnipiac University). Before private practice in Connecticut, I served as an assistant prosecutor in the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in Newark, New Jersey, where I investigated and tried serious felonies and other specially assigned cases.
As a plaintiff’s lawyer, I have handled hundreds of successful employment claims for race, sex and age discrimination; sexual harassment; and hostile work environments. I have briefed and argued numerous appeals to the New Jersey and Connecticut state appellate courts, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York. I am also an adjunct professor in the criminal justice department at my undergraduate alma mater, the University of Hartford.
